About Us

We Believe Every Transformation Begins with the Right Conversation.

ConversArt Consulting was built on a simple but powerful idea: that meaningful organizational progress starts not with a report or a framework, but with people talking honestly about what matters most and what they can achieve, together.

Our Story

The name ConversArt has a story behind it and that story says everything about who we are.

Founders Daniel Normandeau and Terry Vida were on a train to Quebec City when they began to talk about the kind of consulting firm they wanted to build. Not one defined only by methodologies or processes, but one defined by conversations, the kind that unlock insight, build trust, and produce real change.

From that exchange, an idea took shape: “The Art of Conversation.” Refined over time, it became ConversArt. And the belief behind it has guided every engagement we’ve taken on since.

Since 2000, ConversArt has worked alongside senior leaders across Canada’s public service, national industry associations, non-profit organizations, and international clients by helping them navigate complexity, lead their people through change, and build the organizational health that sustains performance over time.

Our approach has always been rooted in respect for each client’s unique culture and context, a commitment to research and rigour, and a belief that the most important work happens in the room and in the conversations that bring the right people together to address what really matters.

Our Philosophy

Stronger Leaders Transform Organizations

We believe that organizations grow when their people grow. And that people grow when they feel heard, supported, and challenged in the right ways.

Our mission is straightforward: bring the right people together to work in productive, caring relationships, to achieve organizational goals and contribute to the betterment of society through organizational learning and personal transformation.

That mission shapes everything we do.

It shapes the questions we ask, the processes we design, and the outcomes we pursue. It’s why we take the time to understand your culture before we begin, why we invest in building trust with every person in the room, and why our work doesn’t just look good on paper rather it holds up when it’s tested.

We also believe that strategy without humanity is incomplete. You can have the best plan in the world, but if the people responsible for executing it aren’t aligned, engaged, and equipped, it won’t deliver. ConversArt works at the intersection of strategic direction and human dynamics, ensuring that both are addressed with equal rigour and care.

Our Approach

How We Work

Every engagement begins with deep listening. Before we design anything, whether a retreat, a facilitated session, a coaching program, or a workplace assessment, we invest in understanding the context: the culture, the history, the pressures, the relationships, and the desired outcomes. We bring sensitivity and care to our work, grounded in DEI knowledge, trauma-informed practice, and psychological safety.

From there, our approach is always structured and adaptive. We bring proven methodologies and evidence-based frameworks, but we hold them lightly, because the most effective engagements are those shaped by what the group needs, not by a pre-set agenda.

  • We lead with questions, not answers.

Our facilitation and coaching work are built on the belief that the people in the room already hold much of the wisdom they need. Our role is to help surface it through the right questions, the right processes, and the right environment.

  • We work with trust and discretion.

The challenges our clients bring to us are often sensitive involving conflict, culture, leadership performance, or organizational change. We take that trust seriously. Our engagements are grounded in confidentiality, care, and professional integrity.

  • We measure what matters.

We work with clients to define clear outcomes and build meaningful indicators of progress. Our goal isn’t just to facilitate a productive session, it’s to help you move from insight to action and from action to results.

  • We stay involved.

We don’t disappear when the session ends. We follow through, check in, and support implementation, because real change takes time, and lasting results require sustained support.
