DANIEL NORMANDEAU
Daniel Normandeau, President of ConversArt Consulting,
is a fluently bilingual senior management consultant with
over 30 years in the private and public sectors, featuring
experience in change management, strategic planning,
organizational development and learning.
He holds a Masters of Public Administration from Carleton University,
a Diploma in Education from McGill University and a Bachelor of Science from Concordia University's Loyola College. Dan spent 15 years of his career in the Canadian federal public service where he rose to the Executive ranks. Between 2013 and 2022, he was an associate with the University of Ottawa, Telfer School of Management as an instructor in their Public Service Leadership Development Program. His areas of expertise were Strategy and Strategic Leadership.
He provides management consulting, leadership development, and professional and strategic development support to clients at the most senior levels of the federal government, national industry associations, and Boards of Directors in Canada and abroad. He has extensive experience in leading and participating in large public sector organizational change projects and facilitating large and small workshops and conversations related to strategic change and transformation involving both internal and external stakeholders.
In his strategic consulting work, he provides consulting and facilitation services to public sector clients who need to align their organizational structure, business processes, and human resources strategies to their business strategy. In doing so, he helps clients to conduct rigorous functional analyses to ensure that their information and knowledge creation actively support their business decisions.
Dan works extensively with leaders at all levels facing operational, policy, program, and regulatory challenges. He plays an integral role in the review of organizational and business improvement processes. He works closely with clients to develop and implement strategies to fully harness the policy, program and people's potential to meet organizational goals. Dan’s strengths include an ability to assist large as well as smaller groups, executive teams and their organizations to work effectively together - to envision, plan, implement, and sustain change.
He has also designed and facilitated challenging national and international conferences, retreats, and special meetings of senior-level task forces examining important issues for their governments.
TERRY VIDA
Terry Vida, Senior Partner with ConversArt Consulting, is a bilingual management consultant with over 10 years of experience with the public sector in policy, program management, and human resources management. She has over 20 years of experience as a management consultant in conflict management, executive coaching, training, and research. Ms. Vida holds a Ph.D. in Human and Organizational Systems from Fielding Graduate University in California, specializing in conflict management. In addition to that, she holds a Masters in Human and Organizational Systems from Fielding University, a Masters of Public Administration from Carleton University, and is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC), as well as a Team Coaching Practioner, Clutterbuck Coaching and Mentoring International. Ms. Vida provides mentoring to individuals new to the conflict management field.

Ms. Vida has developed a conflict management process that helps leaders proactively manage conflict and engage people in respectful dialogue. She has developed a rigorous workplace assessment process that uses sound methodology to identify workplace issues and actions to address issues. She also designs interactive conflict management workshops that engage executives and managers in developing skills to better manage workplace conflict.
Ms. Vida has undertaken extensive training in both personal and conflict coaching over a period of six years and has developed a comprehensive coaching process that yields sustained results. She is certified in several psychometric tools including Myers-Briggs, Strength Deployment Inventory, and the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Instrument. She has developed a solid reputation in facilitation, conflict management, executive coaching, training, and research.
Her knowledge of organizational development theory, government structure, and operations helps managers, and employees, at all levels, to develop strategic plans, with an emphasis on human resources, learn to work with and manage conflict and develop individual skills and competencies.
Ms. Vida’s strong analytic and communication skills help individuals develop the necessary skills to work effectively in their environment and assist groups in becoming high-performance, self-managed teams. Her impact can be seen at both the organizational and individual levels.
